Dorothy Lee Schulz, age 78, of Abbott, passed away early Friday morning, May 22, 2009 at St. Catherine Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. James Poe officiating. Burial will follow at Yates Cemetery near Peoria. Mrs. Schulz was born March 19, 1931, in Leroy, the daughter of Emil and Bertha Lichnovsky. She attended West schools and on January 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to Billie M. Schulz in Whitney. Dorothy was a member of the Abbott Baptist Church. She was a wonderful, loving mother and friend who loved the Lord. Survivors include her beloved husband of 57 years, Billie M. Schulz of Abbott; a son, Billy A. Schulz of Waco; two daughters, Brenda Thomas and husband David of Hillsboro and Debbie Blaha and husband Thomas of Abbott; a brother, Johnnie Lichnovsky of West; two sisters, Evelyn Charanza of Ross and Mary Ann Bezdek of Kennedale; eight grandchildren, Shawn Stinson and wife April, Khristopher Stinson and wife Brenda, Jeremy Stinson, Philip Blaha, Jill Blaha, Billy Schulz Jr. and wife Amy, Tammy Sheffield and husband Will, and Amanda SanAndre and husband Dan; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Shawn Stinson, Kristopher Stinson, Jeremy Stinson, Philip Blaha, and Billy Schulz Jr. Memorials may be made to the Abbott Baptist Church.
