Doreta Thomas Tindle

Doreta Thomas Tindle, age 87, of Aquilla, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Tindle was born August 22, 1920 in Italy, Texas, the daughter of James and Thelma (Cross) Thomas. She was united in marriage first to Paul G. Naugle and he preceded her in death in 1949. She later was united in marriage to Boyd Tindle. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2004. She worked as a secretary for the Haggar Apparel Co. in Dallas for several years and was a homemaker. Doreta loved gardening, working on the farm, cooking, and spending time with her family. She was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Whitney Congregation. She is also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Alice Eads and Charlotte Abernathy. Survivors include one son, Curtis Naugle of Aquilla; one daughter, Paula Freeman of New Braunfels; one half-brother, Jimmy Thomas and wife Sandy of Bradenton, FL; one half-sister, Helen Ryan of Hebron; three grandchildren, Christopher Ferguson and wife Debbie, Cecilia Garcia and husband Sammy, and Dallas Joe Freeman and wife Dena; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Whitney Congregation or the charity of your choice.
