Donald P. Dubiel, age 70, the husband of JoAnn (Lednicky) Dubiel of Flower Mound, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 20, 2009 in Carrollton. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Donald was born March 8, 1938 in Madison, WI the son of Peter and Genevieve (Skroch) Dubiel. He graduated from Wisconsin High School. He served his country with the United States Army. On September 19, 1989 he married JoAnn Lednicky in Lewisville. Donald was a supervisor and clerk for General Motors Corp. in Arlington for over 39 years, having retired in 2003. Donald loved spending time with his family, playing poker, traveling and working in the yard. He was a member of St. Philips the Apostle Catholic Church in Lewisville. His Parents and one sister, Dorothy Linch, preceded him in death. Survivors include his beloved wife of 19 years, Jo Ann Dubiel of Flower Mound; two daughters, Misty Strickland and her husband Gregg of Flower Mound and Melissa Dubiel of Minnesota; one son, Craig Dubiel of Minnesota; ten grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Robert Lednicky, Anthony Rejcek, Richard Lednicky, Bernard Lednicky, David Lednicky and Patrick Lednicky. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
