Dolores Symank

Dolores Symank, age 76, of Elm Mott, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 17, 2013 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. J. E. Jean officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mrs. Symank was born on June 1, 1937 in Waco, the daughter of Adolf August and Meatha (Lander) Schuetz. She attended schools in Gerald and West and played softball and baseball with the boy's teams. On February 19, 1955, she was united in marriage to Henry Edward "Eddie" Symank, Jr. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2004. Dolores worked as a seamstress for the BB & B Craft in Waco for over four years and also sewed for the public in her home for many years until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed meeting people, sewing, dancing and listening to country music. Dolores dearly loved her dogs, Lady Girl, Joey, Whiskey, and Tuffy. She was a member of First United Church in Gerald. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister; son-in-law, Gary Powell; and daughter-in-law, Debbie Grube. Survivors include sons, Dennis Symank and wife Bonnie and Ronnie Symank and wife Patty, all of Gerald; daughters, Edwina Powell of West and Melonie Symank of Gerald; brothers, Clarence Schuetz, Wilford Schuetz and wife Barbara, and Milbern Schuetz; grandchildren, Casey Symank, Chad Symank and wife Lynsey, Stephen Symank and wife Jessica, Samantha Glick and husband Chris, Jennifer Kalina and fianc, Brian Walker, Dustin Matus and fiance, Becca Wright, and Thomas Grube and wife Michelle; great grandchildren, Jacob, Alana, Katelynn, Emiley, Lawson, Brannon, Codey, Kelsey, Colby, Brandt and Ayden; a special friend, Josephine Lander; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are Stephen Symank, Thomas Grube, Dustin Matus, Chad Symank, Shane Mayberry, Gary Mayberry, Larry Gilbreath and Brian Price. Memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Relief Fund or Fuzzy Friends.
