Diane Jupe, age 55, of Leroy, surrounded by her loving family, passed away early Monday morning, September 7, 2009 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West by Janice Kaluza, followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours. Mrs. Jupe was born on July 7, 1954 in Hillsboro, the daughter of George Peter and Josephine Clara (Prikryl) Kocian. She attended school in Penelope and graduated from Vogue School of Cosmetology in Waco. On November 4, 1970 she married Dwain Snokhous and to this union their children were born. Then on April 17, 1998, she was united in marriage to David Kevin Jupe in Waco. Diane worked as a hairdresser at Diane's Cut N' Curl in Penelope and Elnora Uptmore's Beauty Shop in West for several years. She also worked as a shop foreman at Central Texas Frame and Alignment for over ten years and the Green Door in West. Diane was a homemaker, she enjoyed, knitting, cooking, gardening, mowing the grass, and going on gambling trips. She especially loved playing with her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Her parents; a son, Jason Snokhous; and a brother, Danny Kocian preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband of 11 years, Kevin Jupe of Leroy; two sons, Matt Snokhous of West and Chase Jupe and friend Magan Williams of Tours; two daughters, Dana Peterson and husband Marshall of Axtell and Becky McGee and husband Chad of Waco; two brothers, Ervin Kocian of Midlothian and David Kocian and wife Helen of Elm Mott; one sister, Eileen Janek and husband David of Abbott; brother-in-law, Ricky Jupe and wife, Linda of Tours; sisters-in-law, Jana Lukas and husband John of Tours and Kim O'Quinn and husband Tim of Houston; parents-in-law, Gene and Joy Jupe of Tours; eight grandchildren, Colby Snokhous, Cody Janek, Madison Halamik, Camryn Halamik, Lauren McGee, Paige Peterson, Dylan Peterson and Kelsey Pierce; the father of her children, Dwain Snokhous and friend Beverly Franklin; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Darrell Kocian, Tim Kocian, Joseph Halamik, Clyde Vrba, Raymond Michalek, and Don Janes. Honorary pallbearers are Cody Janek and Colby Snokhous. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for all of their love and compassion in caring for Diane and her family throughout her illness.
