Deva Roehm

Our much loved Mother, Deva (Beheler) Smith Roehm, age 91, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco, surrounded by her family. A celebration of her life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. Deva was born December 19, 1925 in McLennan County, the daughter of William L. and Beulah (Oliver) Beheler. She was a 1944 graduate of Dallas High School. During her adult life she raised her children in Long Beach, California. Her love for Texas brought her back after her retirement from GTE. Deva settled in the Lake Whitney area and continued to enjoy her family. Deva was preceded in death by her husbands, Don Smith and Ruford Roehm; a son, William "Bill" Roehm; a sister, Virginia Rhodes; and a brother, Morris Lee Beheler. Survivors include her beloved sister, Peggy Newman of Laredo; her children, Don Smith, Diana Cassidy, Dawn Allen, Darla Rutherford, Stephen Roehm and David Roehm; step children, Thomas Roehm, Robert Roehm, Gayle Cox and James Roehm; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
