Delbert Wayne Kyle, Sr.

Delbert Wayne Kyle Sr., age 77, of Mexia, passed away Tuesday evening, January 7, 2020 in Mexia. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Rev. Joe Tucker officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Delbert was born June 22, 1942 in Birome, the son of Whit William and Artie Mae (Peterson) Kyle. On September 16, 1965 he was united in marriage to Frances Watson in Mexia. He worked as a plant operator for TXU Electric Company for 21 years until his retirement. Delbert loved everyone and never met a stranger. His home was always open to anyone and he loved for them to stop by and visit. Delbert enjoyed spending time at his home with family and sitting outside with them. After his retirement, he loved to go riding around in his old truck and junking. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Lola Mae Meyer and Christine Kyle. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances Kyle of Mexia; his brother, William "Bill" Kyle and wife Aline; his children, Wanda Winkler and husband Erie, Delbert Kyle Jr. and wife Sherri, Lisa Kyle, all of Mexia, Shirley Thornton and husband Ronnie of Tehuacana, and Brian Kyle and wife Tyianka of Mexia; grandchildren, Marilyn Carlton and husband Clayton, Christopher Winkler and wife Caitlin, Caleb Kyle and wife Rene, Jacob Kyle, Tiffany Trevino and husband Arron, Renae Kempson and husband Jason, Mahogany Herbert, Bri'Anna Kyle, and Aiden Kyle; great grandchildren, Amber Carlton, Haley Carlton, Lacy Carlton, Trace Winkler, and Leilani Herbert; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice. **Directions to Bold Springs Cemetery: From I 35 North exit at Tokio Road, drive West on FM 1858 until you reach 4 Corners Road. Turn right and proceed until you reach the cemetery on the left. NOTE: Bold Springs and West Brethren Cemeteries are side by side.
