Dee Summers, age 61, of Eddy, passed away early Saturday morning, January 29, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Johnny Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Dee was born January 27, 1961 in Waco, the daughter of Darrell and Nina (Owens) Roberson. She attended school in Connally and was a 1979 graduate of Connally High School, where she participated in the Cadet Band. In 1986 she met her future husband, Robert Summers and on January 3, 1992 they were united in marriage in Copperas Cove and that same year welcomed their daughter. Dee worked for many years at the Golden Corral in Copperas Cove and Waco as well as Taco Bell and Whataburger in Waco. She loved her customers, but felt a special love for the police officers that frequented her restaurants. She always referred to her young c0-workers as her kids. Dee was fiercely loyal to her family and close friends, always putting others before herself. She enjoyed pottery, gardening, reading and photography. Dee is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bobby Roberson. Survivors include her beloved husband of 30 years, Bob Summers of Eddy; her daughter, Angel and Brandon Busch of Marlin; step son, Bobby and Jen Price of Copperas Cove; grandchildren, Evangeline Busch, Amaya Busch, Wyatt Busch, Mia Busch, and Jazmin Price; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
