Debra Lynn Borger, age 57, of West, passed away late Monday night, August 13 at her residence. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at First Baptist Church of West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Debra was born February 4, 1961 in Unionville, Missouri, the daughter of Delila (Stigers) and the late James Buckallew. She was a 1979 graduate of Centerville High School. On April 7, 1979 she was united in marriage to Samuel Borger in Centerville, Iowa. Debra was a substitute teacher and librarian and also worked with the adult handicapped. She was a member of the Brazos Button Club, where she served as president. Debra was an artist, enjoyed crafts, gardening and was good at doing anything that required using her imagination. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Survivors include her beloved husband, Sam Borger of West; mother, Delila Buckallew; children, Teddy Borger and wife Melani of Pflugerville, Jonathan Borger and wife Amy of West and Samantha Borger of West; brothers, John Buckallew and wife Gloria, Mark Buckallew and wife Stacey and Scott Buckallew, as well as siblings Timothy, Danielle, Daniel, Kyndra and Jenna; grandchildren, Braedan, Brooke, Brylee, Barrett, Tyler, Layna and Elora; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brazos Button Club or Arc of McLennan County Opportunity Center.
