Deborah Varner Laprade

Deborah (Varner) LaPrade, age 54, of Mesquite, passed away late Wednesday morning, July 8, 2009 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Jerry King officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery near Ross. Deborah was born September 24, 1954 in Dallas the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Wallis) Varner. She attended Dallas area schools and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1973. On March 20, 1976 she was united in marriage to Patrick L. LaPrade in Tulsa, OK. Deborah worked for ACS in Dallas for 15 years before retiring in 2007. Prior to that, she was the manager of group insurance for Southwestern Life Insurance Company for over 15 years. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of people, and being a mother to many. Deborah especially loved spending time with her grandson and family. Survivors include her beloved husband of 33 years, Pat LaPrade of Mesquite; a son, Michael Adam LaPrade of Mesquite; a daughter, Shannon LaPrade of Dallas; two sisters, Lana (Varner) Morphis of West and Susie Varner of Waco; a grandson, Jackson LaPrade Davis; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
