Deborah Debbie Sulak

Deborah Marie Sulak, age 57, of Hillsboro, joined the Angels in Heaven on Saturday afternoon, July 16, 2016 surrounded by her family. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Rev. Ouseph Thekkumthala as celebrant. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Debbie was born November 8, 1958 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Oldrich and Mary (Smetak) Sulak. She attended Hillsboro schools. Debbie was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro. She enjoyed coloring, bowling, watching television, doing latch hook, shopping trips with her sisters and especially spending time with her family. Debbie loved photography and taking pictures with her camera and won several awards in Art shows for her work. She was an award winning medalist in the Special Olympic Games and looked forward to participation in those events each summer. Debbie is preceded in death by her father, grandparents and a great nephew. Survivors include her mother, Mary Sulak of Hillsboro; brothers, Michael Sulak and wife Diann of Hillsboro and Richard Sulak and wife Debbie of West; sisters, Cindy Morosky and husband George of Burleson, Jacque Huggins and husband Rick of West and Susie Jacobs and husband Lawton of Grandview; and many nieces, nephews, "best" cousins, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Eric Morosky, Kevin Sulak, Brent Sulak, Ricky Huggins, Michael Young, James Powers and Tom Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Misty Avila, Anthony Avila, Elizabeth Morosky, Angela Wilson, Emily Powers, Allison Sulak, Rebecca Young and Ashley Sulak. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Special Olympics or West Rest Haven Disaster Relief Fund.
