Debbie (Selman) French, age 35, of West, passed away Friday night, August, 11, 2006 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near West. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Dr. John Watson and Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Janice Kaluza, followed by a visitation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Debbie was born October 31, 1970 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Willis Selman Jr. and Betty (Kinsey) Selman. She attended schools in West and graduated from West High School in 1989. On May 19, 2000 she was united in marriage to Allan G. French in West. Debbie was a homemaker and mother. She was co-owner with her husband of D-n-A Horses for several years and worked for Sam's Club and K-Mart. She also was an independent salesperson for Home Interior Products. Debbie was a Girl Scout Troop co-leader with Pam Urbanovsky of West Troop #7240. She also was a Girl Scout Leader for Daisy Troop. She enjoyed arts & crafts, raising horses, and especially spending time with her children and family. She was a member of the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) and the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA). Her Father, Willis Selman Jr.; a brother, Robert Martin; and grandparents, Willis Sr. and Ruth Selman and Irvin and Eloise Kinsey; all preceded her in death. Survivors include her beloved husband of 6 years, Allan French of West; two daughters, Ashley Wagner and Megan French, both of West; one son, Andrew French of West; her Mother, Betty Selman of Elm Mott; two brothers, Will Selman III and wife Rhonda of Independence, Kansas and Dave Selman of Hewitt; two sisters, Pat Watson and husband John of Marion, Ohio and Donna Stengle and husband Richard of Richland Springs; her parents-in-law, Bennet and Dorothy French; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be John Mebane, Calvin French, Eric Laird, Wade Durban, Kenny Chudej and Troy Powledge. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses. The Debbie French Memorial Fund has been established at West Bank & Trust, P. O. Box 279, West, Texas 76691, and also at State National Bank, P.O. Box 98, West, Texas 76691.
