Debbie Leuschner, age 65, of West, passed away early Thursday afternoon, February 11, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until service time. Debbie was born August 15, 1950 in San Antonio, the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Evelyn (Vanzura) Gaiser. She attended Westerfield Elementary in England on the Royal Air Force Base and was a 1969 graduate of West High School. On March 31, 1991 she was united in marriage to Dion Leuschner in West. Debbie worked for Command Aire in Waco, which later became Trane for 15 years. She then worked as a life skills aide for West High School. Debbie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, watching westerns and scary movies, taking care of her indoor and outdoor plants, cooking and dancing. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Dion Leuschner of West, sons, Troy Allen and Preston Leuschner, both of West; a daughter, Julie Sexton and husband Harold of Abbott; a brother, Michael Gaiser and wife Mary; grandchildren, Keila, Kearstyn and Kylie Sexton and Devin Allen; a great granddaughter, Rylie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
