David W. Weinberger, age 57, of Leroy, passed away late Monday afternoon, May 8, 2017 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Msgr. Isidore Rozycki, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Greg Brumitt officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy. David was born July 18, 1959 in Waco, the son of the late Raymond "Sonny" and Leona "Bootsie" (Glatter) Weinberger. He attended West schools and TSTC. On October 15, 1983, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Coleman in Tours. He worked with his mom and dad at Lone Star Tavern for many years. David also had worked at TSTC in maintenance and was a self employed carpenter. David was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Tours. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger. He also enjoyed watching western movies, gambling, fishing, and loved being outdoors, especially at his and Koy's farm. He absolutely adored and loved his weenie dogs, Punkie and Puddles and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a huge Donald Trump supporter. David is preceded in death by his infant twin sisters, Mary and Ann Weinberger; and father-in-law, Ronald Coleman. Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Kathleen Weinberger of Leroy; sisters, Sandra Rorie and husband Kerwin of Hurst and Mary Hurtt of Bellmead; brothers, James Weinberger and wife Kay of Leroy and Steve Weinberger of West; mother-in-law, Joan Coleman of Elm Mott; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Stephen Jones, Matthew Jones, Brandon Jones, Joshua Roberts, Todd Rorie and Bradley McHargue. Since David was a proud recipient of a kidney and pancreas transplant, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5429 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX. 75240.
