David Sharp, age 59, of Waco, passed away late Monday afternoon, January 11, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Graveside Rites will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. David will lie-in-state from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Very limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. LIVE STREAM of the funeral service will be provided. David was born August 6, 1961 in Swinden, England the son of Webster and Joanna (Usry) Sharp. He was a 1979 graduate of Clear Creek High School in League City prior to attending the University of Houston. In 1990, David received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy. On July 10, 1993 he was united in marriage to Jane Wiesen in League City. David was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He was also a former member of the Hillsboro Masonic Lodge #196 and the Hillsboro Lions Club. David volunteered with Waco Habitat for Humanity and was a former Cub Scout Leader for Pack 494 and Boy Scout Leader for Troop 308. He worked as a Clinical Pharmacist for Baylor Scott & White Hospitals in Ft. Worth and Waxahachie since 2004. David enjoyed watching sports, playing golf, genealogy, woodworking, photography, and was an avid fan of the Houston Texans and Houston Astros. He loved spending time with his family, especially his wife and children. Survivors include his beloved wife of 27 years, Jane Sharp of Waco; his father, Webster Sharp of Houston; his mother, Joanna Sharp of League City; his children, Chris Sharp of Dallas and Kelli Sharp of Kansas City, MO; a brother, Don Sharp and wife LeAnne; a sister, Karen Meadows and husband Bo; a half brother, Steven Sharp; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Chris Sharp, Kelli Sharp, and other family members. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
