David Roessler

David Anthony Roessler, age 54, of Leroy, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024 at his residence.


A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Walter Dhanwar and Deacon Charlie Wright as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery.


David was born on Easter Sunday, March 29, 1970 in Hillsboro, the son of John and Alma (Greger) Roessler. He was a 1988 graduate of West High School and was a 1994 graduate Baylor University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. David was a lifelong member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. He was also a member of the McLennan County Sheriff's Association. He worked as a receiving clerk for the warehouse distribution at Do It Best Corporation in Waco since 1998. David enjoyed fishing, tending to his various farm animals, barbecuing, and was considered a "hot sauce" and fried chicken enthusiast. He loved "Fun Day Fridays" with his daughters, and going to Scoops with his nieces and nephews.


David is preceded in death by a nephew, Kevin Joe Dudik; and his grandmother-in-law, Evelyn Anderson.


Survivors include his parents, John and Alma Roessler of Leroy; wife of more than 20 years, Amy Roessler of Leroy; two daughters, Kailey and Amanda Roessler, both of Leroy; his sisters, Clara Dudik and husband Albert of Penelope, Rose Dudik and husband Emil Joe III of Hubbard, Kathy Butler and husband Tim of Robinson, and Mary Withers and husband Paul Dwayne of Leroy; a brother, Billy Roessler and wife Angela of Gainesville; his mother-in-law, Rheda Jones of Abbott; a beloved cat, Lucky; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Pallbearers are Martin Dudik, Emil Joe Dudik IV (Junior), Justin Dudik, Brian Dudik, Larry Adair, and Donnie Washington.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for his daughters at Citizens State Bank in West.
