David Hutyra

David Wayne Hutyra, age 66, of Elm Mott, passed away Sunday morning, July 3, 2022 at his residence. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. David was born May 19, 1956 in Waco, the son of Johnnie and Mary Ann (Marek) Hutyra. He attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a 1974 graduate of West High School. On August 17, 1981 he was united in marriage to Joy Brault in Waco. David was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He worked for Texas Concrete Partners in Elm Mott for the last 41 years. David enjoyed playing scratch-off lottery tickets, going to the casinos in Oklahoma, fishing with his family and friends, listening to his favorite rock star Ted Nugent, watching football, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. His love for his sons was one of the most important things in his life and was very proud of their accomplishments. He always took time out of his day to call them and his mother. David is preceded in death by his father; a nephew, Colby Aaron Hutyra; and his mother-in-law, Goldie Caple. Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Joy Hutyra of Elm Mott; his mother, Mary Ann Hutyra of West; two sons, Chris Hutyra of West and Keith Hutyra of Dallas; a sister, Doris Ann Stewart and husband David of Bruceville; a brother, Johnny Ray Hutyra and wife Michelle of West; two sisters-in-law, Stacie Argabright and husband Kermit and Melissa Sherman and husband David; his father-in-law, David Brault and wife Cathy; two nephews, Derek and Erica Hutyra and James and Hanna Soukup; four nieces, Heather and Jeremy Lightfoot, Nikki Andrews, Samantha Stewart, and Brianna Hutyra and Jared Burton; three great nephews, Landry Lightfoot, Colby Burton, and Evan Soukup; four great nieces, Addison Hutyra, Avery Andrews, Jaylee Soukup, and Abigail Lightfoot; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charity of your choice.
