David G. Barton

David G. Barton, age 54, of West, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. David was born January 30, 1962 in Waco, the son of Marlene (Wynne) and Lambert Barton. He attended St. Mary's School and was a 1980 graduate of West High School. He worked for Hunter Concrete in Belton and the Methodist Home in Waco. David enjoyed fishing and grilling on the pit. David is preceded in death by his father, Lambert Barton; a son, Joshua Barton; and his step-father, Joe Steinocher. Survivors include his daughters, Jessica Barton and Mason Barton; his mother, Marlene (Barton) Steinocher; a sister, Paula Simpson and husband Casey; brothers, Mark Barton and wife Mary, Paul Barton and Kathy Ballesteros and Stephen Barton; uncle, Emmett Barton and wife Vera; aunt, Celesta Dulock; grandchildren, Braden and Kirsten Jewell; nieces and nephews, Rachel Conch, Devin Barton, Lauren Simpson, Breanna Simpson and Jacob Barton; and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Mark Barton, Paul Barton, Stephen Barton, Casey Simpson, Bubba Wolske, Dylan Alligood and Devin Barton.
