David B. Dickerson, age 54, of Waco, passed away late Saturday morning, December 15, 2007 at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Hobby Herrington officiating. Graveside services will follow 12:00 noon Tuesday at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. David was born on October 30, 1953 in Waco, the son of Boyce and Agnes (Melton) Dickerson. He attended Lake Air Middle School and graduated from Richfield High School in 1972. He then attended McLennan Community College. On June 7, 1997, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sandy Fuller in Waco. David was a general contractor, building homes, doing repair work, and painting. He was a member of the Central Texas Pistol and Gun Club, Texas Association of General Contractors, and the Waco Masonic Lodge. David enjoyed cooking, especially chili, and was known as the "Wagon Master." He also liked hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. David often attended West Trojan sporting events and cooked for the Athletic Booster Club. He was also a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church in Waco. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Ferguson; a brother-in-law, Leslie Ferguson; and nephews, Mark Phillips and Ricky Ferguson. Survivors include his loving wife, Sandy Fuller Dickerson of Waco; a sister, Barbara Phillips and husband Leroy of Robinson; parents-in-law, Billy and Pat Fuller of Arlington; brothers-in-law, Don Fuller and wife Kathy of Comanche and Doug Fuller and wife Karen of Emmett; sister-in-law, Nancy Fuller of Arlington; nieces and nephews, Paul Ferguson, Robin Fuller, Shelly Fuller, David Fuller, Molly Revill, Seth Fuller, and Rachel Fuller; his aunt, Virginia Wolfe; many great nieces and nephews including Mandy and David Ferguson; several cousins including, Ruth Copeland, Paul Dickerson and his wife Bobby; and several other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Don Fuller, Doug Fuller, Paul Ferguson, Paul Dickerson, Larry Brumfield, Jack Faubion, and Tim Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Central Texas Pistol and Gun Club. Memorials may be made to the Central Texas Pistol and Gun Club or the charity of your choice.
