Darrell Wayne Crumpton

Darrell Wayne Crumpton, age 77, of West, passed away Friday evening, March 9, 2018 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. A celebration of his life will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder and Howard Wheeler officiating. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon Friday at Waco Memorial Park in Waco. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Wayne was born July 22, 1940 in Italy, Texas the son of the late Alec Darrell and Dorothy (Tinsley) Crumpton. He was a graduate of Waco High School in 1958 and went on the attend Baylor University. On October 3, 1964, he was united in marriage to Ann Grice in Waco. Wayne worked for General Dynamics in Dallas and Waco before becoming the Plant Production Manager for Tymco International in Waco for over 28 years before retiring in 2004. He was a very faithful member of the First Baptist Church in West, where he sang in the choir and served on the Properties Committee and Co-chaired on the Stewardship Committee. Wayne was a longtime Board Member and Board Chairman for Members Choice Federal Credit Union and the Bold Springs Water Supply Corporation. He enjoyed hay farming, driving his tractor, traveling and spending time with his wife, daughter and family. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 53 years, Ann Crumpton of West; his daughter, Stephanie Ann Davis and husband David of Big Spring; grandchildren, David Austin and Katie Ann Davis; his sister, Donna Ruth Ward and husband Darrell; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends. Active pallbearers are Reggie Whalen, Joe Hokit, Darrell Miller, Kenneth Young, Gary Young, Robert Lawson, Chuck Lewis and Ralph Sparks. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Franke, Lewis Davis and Jimmy Bilbo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, Providence Hospice Place or your favorite charity.
