Darlene Wickham

Darlene Wickham, age 55, of Ross, passed away early Wednesday morning, February 16, 2005 at Crestview Manor in Waco. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday at White Rock Cemetery near Ross, with the Rev. Barney Arnett officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Darlene was born on August 21, 1949 in Waco, the fifth of six daughters born to Elmer and Beulah (Cook) Gribble. She attended school in Waco. She loved gardening and whatever she planted would grow. Darlene loved animals and enjoyed her pets. Her parents, and infant brother, Clarence Eugene Gribble and a sister Sondra Kay Gribble, all precede her in death. Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Conn of Colorado City, James Alfred Ramey of Huntsville and Sidney Parrish of Cottondale, Florida; two daughters, Linda Jiminez of Lakeland, Florida and Pam Lambert of Waco; four sisters, Dorothy Hickman of Leesville, Louisiana, Billie Morris of Houston, Linda Bates of Ross and Carolyn Beene of Houston; thirteen grandchildren, Ronnie Conn, Tonya Conn, Jason Conn, Troy Streng, Tyler Conn, Jessica Jiminez, Pam Jiminez, Alford Ramey, Nathan Lambert, Ryan Lambert, Chelsi Lambert, Justin Parrish and Sidney Tyler Parrish; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends. A special thank you to Hillcrest Community Hospice nurses, Linda, Ana, Kim and Kathleen. Special thanks also to our cousins, Kathryn and Connie who went above & beyond their call of duty.
