Daniel Slovak, age 56, of Waco, passed away late Monday evening, January 11, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. A memorial visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. Daniel was born April 13, 1964 in Waco, the son of Henry and Betty (Allen) Slovak. He was a 1982 graduate of Connally High School. On March 5, 2002 he was united in marriage to Cletha King in West. Daniel was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. He worked as a truck driver for various companies throughout the years. Daniel enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, and fixing things around the house. He especially loved spending time with his family. Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Henry Edward Slovak; and a step son, Eric Norwood. Survivors include his beloved wife of 19 years, Cletha Slovak of Waco; his mother, Betty Slovak of Waco; step children, Jessica Wright of Hewitt, Jennifer Morosky of Gholson, and Steven Lee and wife Lacy of West; two sisters, Julianne Slovak of Wimberley, and Lorrie Bolfing and husband Mark of Wimberley; two brothers, David Slovak and wife Tessa of Chalk Bluff, Donald Slovak and wife Lyn of Burleson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels in Waco.
