Daniel Albert Cepak

Daniel Albert Cepak, age 79, of Waco, passed away Friday morning, April 13, 2007 at his residence. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Janice Kaluza. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, conducted by V.F.W. Post #4819 of West. Mr. Cepak was born on January 2, 1928 in Aquilla, the son of Albert and Agnes (Sulak) Cepak. He attended schools in Aquilla and 4C Business College. He joined the United States Army and Air Force and served time in Japan. On September 23, 1952, he was united in marriage to Helen Hanzlicek in Penelope. He worked for the Cotton Belt Railroad until his retirement in 1990. Daniel loved to play dominoes, watching sports, and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. . His parents; two brothers, Edward Cepak and Benny Cepak; and one sister, Josephine Hanzlicek, precede him in death. Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen Cepak of Waco; one son, Danny Cepak and wife Karen of China Spring; one daughter, Linda Halamik and husband Mark of Elm Mott; one brother, Joseph Cepak and wife JoAnn of Bellmead; two sisters, Alice Janecka and husband Joe of Burleson and Anna Hennig of Bellmead; seven grandchildren, Mark, Brent, Erik and Jon Halamik, Lindsey, Courtney and Zachary Cepak; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be Mark Allan Halamik, Brent Halamik, Erik Halamik, Jon Halamik, Zachary Cepak, and Mark Halamik. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church Youth CCD Program or Hillcrest Community Hospice.
