Dana Alexander

Dana Lynn (Ashley) Alexander, age 64, of Whitney, passed away Monday morning, September 16, 2024 at her residence.

Per her wishes, no services will be held.

Dana was born June 24, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Nelda (Luton) and James Ashley Sr. She was a 1978 graduate of Lorena High School prior to receiving her Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from McLennnan Community College in Waco. On August 19, 1995 she was united in marriage to Alan Alexander in Aquilla. She worked in food service for the Whitney Independent School District, was a Respiratory Therapist for Goodall-Witcher Hospital in Clifton, and also worked for many other hospitals in the surrounding area. Dana enjoyed sewing, remodeling, gardening, cooking, and traveling with Ryah. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Dana is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Harlan Ashley Jr..

Survivors include her beloved husband of 29 years, Alan Alexander; her children, Stacy and Scott Conroy, Jamey and Ray Flores, Lynse Hudspeth, Shay and Chris Fry, and Ryah Alexander; her grandchildren, Kacy, Ashley, Xavian, Brayden, Brycen, and Rylee; her great granddaughter, Mackenlee; a sister, Karen Bateman; her niece, Shana Joya and many wonderful friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #12176 in Whitney.
