Coy James Miller, age 37, of West, passed away Saturday evening, May 25, 2024 in West.
A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at New Lebanon Cemetery near Aquilla.
Coy was born September 24, 1986 in West, the son of James and Susan (Mynar) Miller. He attended West schools and was a 2005 graduate of West High School prior to attending TSTC. Coy was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and foreman for several construction companies, including Bobcat Contracting. Coy enjoyed being outside, cooking and barbecueing, fishing, hunting, and being around his friends. He loved spending time playing 42 with his boys, working puzzles with Emersyn, and coaching the children in their sports. He was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends.
Coy is preceded in death by his mother, Susan (Mynar) Miller; maternal grandparents, Frank and Danelle (Urbish) Mynar; and paternal grandparents, Albert and Mary (Rejcek) Miller.
Survivors include his children, Peyton, Ryder, and Emersyn Miller; his father, James Miller and Kelly Nors of West; his sisters, Stormy Haddix and husband Mike, and Harli Miller and Byron Cox; significant other, Valerie Payne and son, Finn; nephews, Clayton Wilson, Marcus Goetz, Boone Haddix, Nate Haddix, Kaden King, and Karter Mechell; a niece, Sutton Cox; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Active pallbearers are Frank Castillo, Ralph Castillo, Troy Bettge, Corey Price, Mike Berger, Ricky Grones Jr., Brian Wise, and Robert Browning. Honorary pallbearers are Marcus Goetz, Nate Haddix, Kaden King, Karter Mechell, Travis Otto, Adam Danker, Shane Machac, Cody Hand, Kevin Coleman, Jesse Luper, Dustin Matus, Matt Dulock, Tim Payne, Justin Hykel, and Bryden Castillo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coy Miller Kids Education Fund held at Pointwest Bank.
