Alvin "Corky" Howard, age 71, of Burleson, passed away early Friday morning, October 29, 2021 at his residence. Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are encouraged at all services. Corky was born August 9, 1950 in Graham, the son of Alfred and Alice (Hughes) Howard. He was a graduate of Crowley High School. On November 24, 1971 Corky was united in marriage to Laura "Deanie" Faglie in Burleson. Deanie preceded him in death on December 23, 2014. Corky worked for Hydra-Rig as a welder for many years before retiring in 2015. He enjoyed fixing things and was known as a handyman who could fix just about anything. He loved spending time with his family. Corky is also preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alfred Howard; and a sister, Ava Ashley. Survivors include his daughter, Brandie Howard of Burleson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Humane Society.
