Cora Marie Kudelka, age 95, of Waco, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 12, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Waco, surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2022 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Deacon Ronnie Sykora officiating. There will be LIVE STREAM of the service. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Marie was born June 13, 1927 in Riesel, the last surviving child of Henry Otto and Ada Bethel (Crum) Sydow. She attended schools in Riesel and Waco. On April 3, 1948 she was united in marriage to Raymond Kudelka in Waco. Raymond preceded her in death on September 12, 1983. Marie was a faithful and longtime member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. For over 50 years, Marie worked in Daycare before starting Memaw's Daycare in Waco in 1981. She was known for her memory of dates and small details and loved talking about Waco history. Marie enjoyed shopping, traveling, visiting with friends, being with her family, planning for Christmas throughout the year, and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Baylor Bears. Marie is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Cecil, Marvin, Eugene, and Jack Sydow; and sisters, Florence Sydow, Esther Hinson, Lucille Boatwright, Lorene Sydow, Kate Autry, and Frances Blankenstein. Survivors include her three daughters, Linda Lillard of Lorena, Nancy Wallace and husband Joe of Waco, and Martha Schlemmer and husband Deryl of Waco; five grandchildren, Allyson Miller and husband Kyle of Lorena, Magen Schott and husband Mike of Liberty Hill, Natalie Huling and husband Garrett of Leander, Barry Wallace and wife Mandolyn of Cheyenne, WY, and Tara Stevenson and husband Will of Dallas; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Barry Wallace, Mike Schott, Garrett Huling, Will Stevenson, Kyle Miller, and Evan Kudelka. Head pallbearers are Rolan Robinson and James Kudelka. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Waco Meals of Wheels or St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco.
