Connie Montgomery, age 60, of Waco, passed away early Thursday morning, August 30, 2007 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Timbercrest Church of Christ, 1826 E. Loop 340 in Waco, with Ministers Doyle Ware and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Connie was born January 21, 1947 in Waco, the daughter of Wayne and Lucille (Blankenstein) Petty. She attended Waco schools and was a graduate of University High School. She then went on to attend 4-C Business College and Beauty School in Waco. On November 13, 1971 she was united in marriage to Clark Montgomery in Robinson. They owned and operated Clark's Barber & Beauty Shop from May 1987 to June 2006. She was a member of the Timbercrest Church of Christ. Connie enjoyed planting flowers, painting, watching C.S.I., and especially loved her dogs. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Petty. Survivors include her beloved husband of 35 years, Clark Montgomery of Waco; a son, Kelley Montgomery and wife Lori of Aledo; a daughter, Tina England of Waco; her father, Wayne Petty of Waco; a grandson, Braden Montgomery; and many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Timbercrest Church of Christ.
