Clark Montgomery, age 62, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Timbercrest Church of Christ in Bellmead, with Ministers Doyle Ware and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Clark was born October 6, 1945 in Waco, the son of Monty and Josie Lorene (Low) Montgomery. He attended La Vega schools and was a 1963 graduate of La Vega High School prior to attending barber college. On November 13, 1971 he was united in marriage to Connie Gwen Petty in Robinson. She preceded him in death on August 30, 2007. Clark owned and operated Clark's Barber and Beauty Shop in Waco since 1987. He enjoyed playing chess, doing leatherwork, fishing, playing 42, and watching The Andy Griffith Show and Walker Texas Ranger. He was a member of Timbercrest Church of Christ in Bellmead where he also served as a minister. Clark is also preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Lucille Petty. Survivors include a son, Kelley Montgomery and wife Lori of Aledo; a daughter, Tina England of Waco; a grandson, Braden Montgomery; his father-in-law, Wayne Petty; two brothers, Monty Montgomery and Billy Montgomery, both of Waco; special friends, Jone and Stannie Sanders; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Timbercrest Church of Christ.
