Clarine (Hlavaty) Blahuta, age 90, of West, passed away early Monday morning, November 22, 2021 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Clarine was born October 23, 1931 in West, the daughter of Jim and Tracie (Maneth) Hlavaty. She attended the old Denton Hill School, West Elementary School and was a 1948 graduate of West High School at the age of 16. On June 4, 1951 she was united in marriage to George A. Blahuta in West. George preceded her in death on December 22, 2000. Clarine worked as a teller at West Bank & Trust for almost 20 years and was a member of the Waco Chapter of the American Institute of Banking. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, playing cards, sewing, quilting, being outdoors, and traveling, especially spending summers with her husband in Colorado. She loved spending time with and cooking for her family and was very proud of her Czech Heritage. Clarine was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of the KJZT Society #11, St. Anne's Altar Society and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4819 Ladies Auxiliary. Clarine is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, C.J. Hlavaty; and son-in-law, Larry Clements. Survivors include her daughter, Beth Roberts and husband Ray of China Spring; her son, Allan Blahuta and wife Kathy of West; grandchildren, Brandi Blahuta of West, Todd Blahuta and Shana of West, Jason Clements and Jill of Waco, Jared Clements and Kristin of Waco, Cameron Roberts of China Spring, Bryce Roberts and Chrissy of Ft. Worth, and Kristen Baird and Daniel of Waco; great grandchildren, Turner, Zadie, Liyah, Tatum, Cooper, Libby, Caitlin, Cash, Colter and Jacob; a great great granddaughter arriving in December 2021; two sisters, Anna Jo Chudej of Waco and Tracy Kidd and Bill of Las Vegas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Todd Blahuta, Jason Clements, Jared Clements, Greg Chudej, Kevin Chudej, and Jim Jones. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 3000 Herring Ave, Waco, TX 76708.
