Clara Kaska

Clara Kaska, age 92, of Abbott, passed away early Friday morning, January 9, 2015 at her residence. A rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West by Janice Kaluza, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Rev. Ouseph Thekkumthala as celebrant, assisted by Deacon Denver Crawley. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery. Clara was born October 24, 1922 in Penelope, the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Kallus) Dudik. On August 14, 1945 she was united in marriage to John J. Kaska in Penelope. John preceded her in death on September 19, 1995. Clara was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm for most of her life. She was a very faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Clara was also a member of KJZT Society #104 in Abbott and Catholic Daughters of America Court in Hillsboro. She enjoyed canning, baking, quilting, sewing, gardening and taking care of her animals. Clara is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Emil Dudik, Robert Dudik, Clement Dudik and Lambert Dudik; and sisters, Ruth Nors and Sylvia Dudik. Survivors include two sons, John Daniel Kaska and Norbert Kaska and wife Cheryl, all of Abbott; four grandchildren, Amy Beseda and husband Paul, Chad Kaska and wife Katie, Justin Kaska and wife Kelly, and Sara Walker and husband Ben; eight great grandchildren, Abbey, Andrew, Quintin, Camille, Dinah, Zander, Trevor and Blaine; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Chad Kaska, Justin Kaska, Paul Beseda, Ben Walker, Bernie Nors, Jerry Dudik, Jerome Kaska and Lambert Dudik. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church or Fatima Cemetery. Rosary and Visitation: Sunday, January 11, 2015 5:00 PM
