Christopher Paul Kazda, age 33, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 12, 2005 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 8:00 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West by Rev. Ed Karasek. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. John Crowder as celebrants. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Chris was born on January 25, 1972 in Waco, the son of Jerry and Maxine (Vanek) Kazda. He graduated from Abbott High School in 1990 and then attended Hill and McLennan Community College. He met and married the love of his life Kathleen Ellen Yezzi and they had two beautiful children together to love and build many memories for them to cherish and keep. He worked for Central Transportation Systems in Waco for over eleven years. Chris had such a kind spirit and never met a stranger. You never saw him without a smile on his face or a twinkle in his eyes. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. To Danielle, her daddy was her "Daddy O", her "Hero". To Parker his daddy was his "Daddy Man". He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and Knights of Columbus in Abbott. Survivors include his beloved wife of eleven years, Kathleen Kazda of West; one daughter, Danielle Kazda of West; one son, Parker Kazda of West; his parents, Jerry Kazda and wife Debbie of Abbott and Maxine Kazda of West; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Linda Yezzi of Hewitt; two brothers, Daryl Kazda and wife Deborah of Hillsboro and Gary Kazda and wife Carrie of Waxahachie; step-brother, Ron Nemec of Brazil; step-sister, Michelle Nemec of Waco; sisters-in-law, Vicki Shaw and husband Gary and Hope Hines and husband Herbert, all of Riesel, Lisa Ward and husband Todd of Rockwall, Lynda Valentine and husband Tom of Alsey, Germany, Teri Gorgas and husband Mike of Hewitt and Kris Uptmor and husband Brian of Troy; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Active pallbearers will be Rusty Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Louis Pavlas, Marc Young, Bryan Anderson, Troy Sinkule and Troy Willenborg. Honorary pallbearers will be Employees and Drivers for United Van Lines, brothers and brother-in-laws, Dennis Sinkule, John Mynarcik, Brad Tanner and Billy Tanner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a scholarship fund for his children, Danielle and Parker, c/o Texas First State Bank, Waco, Texas.
