Chris Diaz

July 30, 1975 — September 19, 2024

Christopher Lee Diaz, "Diaz"; age 49 of Gholson, was called to his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior to receive his eternal reward, Thursday evening, September 19, 2024 in Gholson, Texas.

Chris was born July 30, 1975, in Waco, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, to Benjamin and Maria (Guerra) Diaz. Chris grew up in McGregor, graduating from McGregor High School in 1993. Thereafter, Chris attended Lincoln Technical Institute, in Arlington.

On September 24, 2011, Chris was humbly united in holy matrimony to his friend and partner in life, Nituna Silva. He was a member of Riverside Community Church in Waco. Diaz was a Jack of All Trades, quickly excelling in many different career paths starting as an entry level employee but swiftly moving up the ranks in each workplace. His Leadership skills and attention to detail made him a rising star for any company that was graced with his talent, you could show him once and he could do it twice. His places of employment consisted of Firestone in Arlington, Energy Management Services in Houston, Clayton Homes in Waco, Lamar Advertising of Temple, O-I Glass in Waco, and Domatar in Waco. Most recently, Chris worked for All Star Heat & Air, where his impeccable work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail made his role as a lead technician in the company one for immeasurable skill and talent, invaluable. However, his most important role was Husband, Father, Protector, and Supporter to his beloved family.

Chris’s deep affection for all things outdoors such as golfing, hunting, fishing, grilling, camping, is where he found peace and comfort. He dedicated himself to teaching others how to love the little things in life, as well as the big. Foremost being Friends and Family. Those fortunate enough to be his friend were seamlessly integrated into his family, as he embodied loyalty, dependability and authenticity. He was the life of the party, known for his vibrant spirit and quick-witted remarks. He would dance the night away under the Texas stars next to a bonfire and a close group of family and friends, his favorite dance floor. Always looking for a reason to celebrate the life he so loved. Eager for any and every opportunity to be of service to others, often serving as a blessing without any expectation of return. His contagious laugh and captivating smile are to be cherished, I imagine we can all hear it now while reading this sentence. “Stop crying for me you SISSIES!”

Chris’s Family was his entire universe, yearning for every moment he could spare to spend with them.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 13 years, Nituna Diaz of Gholson; his father, Benjamin Diaz, and spouse, Juana Diaz; mother, Maria Diaz; his beloved children, Joseph Paris and wife, Candace; Angelina Valenzuela and husband, Matthew, Jay Perez and wife, Evelyn, Diana Perez and significant other, Robby Benitez, Tony Garcia and significant other, Zakayla Montez, Justice Diaz, Christopher Diaz, and Julio Diaz; 14 cherished grandchildren; sister, Martha Fehlman and husband, Mike; 5 brothers, Bruce Diaz and wife Tolita, Ben Diaz Jr., Jason Diaz and wife, Lorena, Erik Diaz, and Julio Mendez; mother-in-law, Anna Maria Sparks; two brothers-in-law, Chris Silva and Scott Sparks and wife, Cindy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, who will forever have a lasting impression on their hearts and memories in their heads of Christopher Lee Diaz.
