Charles A. "Chuck" Doussan, age 74, of Spring, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 27, 2016 in Spring. A memorial rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, by Janice Kaluza. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, conducted by West Veterans Honor Guard. Chuck was born October 24, 1942 in Columbus, GA, the son of Cleary J. and Geraldine (Alexander) Doussan. He was raised in New Orleans, LA, and attended Holy Rosary Catholic School, Jesuit High School, and graduated from Fortier High School in 1960. Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, serving for almost 10 years. He was awarded the Purple Heart from wounds suffered during the Vietnam War. On October 7, 1967, Chuck was united in marriage to Clarita Hennig in West. He worked as a salesman for Doussan, Inc. in New Orleans and retired in 1999 after 30 years of service. Chuck and Clarita moved to Spring in 2004. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Spring. He loved music, and enjoyed compiling different songs and making CD's for friends. Chuck loved watching the New Orleans Saints and Houston Astros. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Russell S. Doussan and his wife Thyra; and a nephew, Bret Doussan. Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Clarita Doussan of Spring; a brother, Cleary J. "Chip" Doussan Jr. and his wife Lisa; a sister, Frances Doussan McKey and husband John; two aunts, one uncle, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins, all of whom he loved immensely. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
