Carolyn Sue Laws

Carolyn Sue Laws, age 77, of Salado, passed away late Monday afternoon, January 29, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White in Waco. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Carolyn was born April 23, 1940 in Hugo, Oklahoma the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy (Terry) Havins. She was a 1958 graduate of Farmington High School in Farmington, New Mexico. Carolyn received her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Oklahoma. She was a teacher for over 36 years spending most of her career at Meadows Elementary at Fort Hood, Texas before retiring in 2011. Carolyn was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Harker Heights. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, gardening and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Gregg Laws and wife Susan of Vine Grove, KY and Christi Jordan and husband James of West; a brother, Larry Havins and wife Patsy; three grandchildren including Brianna Laws; two nieces, and many other relatives and friends.
