January 17, 1963 — December 20, 2020

Carolyn Randall-Jaska, age 57, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday evening, December 20, 2020. A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Fatima Cemetery in Abbott, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. Carolyn was born January 17, 1963 in Bryan, Texas the daughter of Dr. John and Marilyn (Shirk) Randall. She attended A&M Consolidated High School, prior to attending Blinn College, Texas A&M and Sam Houston State University where she received her bachelor and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice Victim’s Services. On May 28, 1988 she was united in marriage to David Charles Jaska in College Station on a beautiful, warm, sunny Spring day. Carolyn loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed activities with her children whether it was ice skating, hockey, or other sports, visits to the beach, or watching TV on family night. Her happiest days were spent preparing and dressing the family up in costumes to celebrate their favorite holiday, Halloween, as it was as she said, “fun.” She adored babies/children whether they were her own, or those of friends, family or people she just met. No child was ever a stranger to Carolyn. She had a talent for thinking outside the box and finding solutions whether at work, home or for those around her always offering to help those in need, which made her a great friend. She also loved to read, watch movies, dance and listen to music. Carolyn loved all animals and routinely rescued strays, including her husband as she so often stated. Her entire being was focused on the love of her family and their happiness and her greatest gift was her time. She was a devoted mother and wife with a fierce support of her family instilling the proud heritage of her and her husband’s family history. Carolyn is preceded in death by her father, Dr. John Randall. Survivors include her beloved husband of 32 years, David Charles Jaska of Huntsville: her six children, Kelsey Morgan Jaska, John Randall Jaska, Kayley Ryan Jaska, Jefferson Tyler Jaska, Jackson Brandon Jaska, and Jason David Jaska; her mother Marilyn Randall along with a plethora of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SAAFE House of Huntsville, Texas.
