Carole Jean Mcneil

Carole Jean McNeil, age 76, of West, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, June 16, 2020 at her residence. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the West Brethren Church, with Rev. Lawrence Junek officiating. Carole was born September 17, 1943 in Dallas, the daughter of Milton and Helen (Foit) Stover. She was a 1962 graduate of West High School, where she was a cheerleader. On November 6, 1982 she was united in marriage to Alan McNeil in West. Carole was a member of West Brethren Church. She worked as a bookkeeper in Houston for several area businesses and started her own Bath, Body and Candle Company called Bugtussle Lane Candle Company. Carole enjoyed the challenge of creating various candles and bath products and playfully named them after her grandchildren. She was known to embrace all new technology. Carole will be remembered as someone who loved her family and was generous beyond measure. Carole is preceded in death by her parents and her step father, Edmund Kudelka. Survivors include her beloved husband of 38 years, Alan McNeil of West; her children, Sherri Willig Jones of West and Donald Willig and wife Holly of Corsicana; a sister, Patricia Cloud; grandchildren, Cody Rosenblatt, Casey Rosenblatt, Connor Jones and wife Zada, Carrie Jones, Colton Willig and wife Danica, Cara Willig Dooley and husband Alex, Alexandra Willig Trujillo and husband Juan, and Summer Willig; great grandchildren, Ephraim Willig, Nathan Willig, and Murphy Dooley; a special friend, Nancy Vidrine; a nephew, Jeff Cloud and wife Miranda; her dog, Eevee; her cat, Dixie; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Brethren Church.
