Carol Aloysie (Lanham) Mynarcik, age 79, of West, passed away early Saturday morning, January 23, 2021 at Providence Hospital in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ed Karasek, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Very limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. LIVE STREAM of the service will be provided. Carol was born December 7, 1941 in Edwardsville, Illinois, the daughter of Barney "B.C." and Emma (Schaefer) Lanham. She was a 1960 graduate of Reicher High School in Waco, prior to attending Baylor University. On June 15, 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert Mynarcik in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco. Carol was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was also a member of KJZT Society #11 and the Catholic Daughter of America Court #829. She worked for the local Chevrolet car dealerships (Scott Chevrolet and Jerrel Bolton Chevrolet) as office manager for approximately 45 years. She was currently the account manager for Jerrel Bolton's entities. Carol enjoyed cooking, sewing, baking kolaches and strudel, and dancing. She loved attending her grandkids sporting events and activities. Carol is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald "Jerry" Lanham; and a granddaughter, Feryn Schulte. Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert Mynarcik of West; her daughters, Susan Schulte and husband Tim of West, Catherine Shackelford and husband Wade of Gunter, Teresa Glover and husband Rusty of San Saba, Linda Maddox and husband Rick of West, and Diane Konarik and husband Patrick of Salado; a sister, Shirley Meier; a brother, Curt Lanham; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Paden Schulte, Keton Schulte, Taylor Shackelford, Colton Shackelford, Ryson Maddox, Logan Glover, Levi Glover and Korbin Konarik. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or your personal choice.
