Carol was born March 27, 1944, in Henderson, Texas, the loving daughter of Claude Glew and Mildred McDonald. She graduated from West High School in 1963 and went on to attend McLennan Community College, where her passion for knowledge flourished. On March 24, 1963 she was united in marriage to her beloved husband Eugene Bajer in the town she cherished. Eugene preceded her in death on February 8, 1991, leaving a legacy of love and devotion that Carol carried with her throughout her life. Carol was a dedicated Realtor, working with various esteemed firms including Coldwell Banker, Apex Realtors, and Jim Stewart Realtors. In addition to her successful career, she also managed several popular local restaurants, including Dairy Queen, Pizza House, and The Chicken House. Deeply rooted in her faith, Carol was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption and actively participated in the Catholic Daughters of America Court #829 and KJZT St. Ludmila Society #11. She loved to stay connected with her faith and community, embodying a spirit of service and kindness. Carol had a zest for life that included traveling to the beach, curling up with a good book, and enjoying a sunny day on the golf course. But above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was an adored grandmother and great-grandmother, attending countless events and celebrations in support of her grandchildren.
Carol is also preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Mildred and James "Slick" Carson; and her father, Claude Glew.
