Carl Curry, age 73, of Elm Mott, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday afternoon, November 22, 2013 at his residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Ricky Woodall officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Carl was born July 15, 1940 in Malone, the son of Forrest M. and Mary Lynn (Madera) Curry. He attended school in Malone and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1958. On August 6, 1978, he was united in marriage to Nancy Holzer Willis in Las Vegas, NV. He worked for the Chattanooga Glass Co. in Corsicana and Owen Illinois Glass Plant until his retirement in 2002. Carl was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He enjoyed playing dominoes, watching peewee football and spending time with his family. Carl is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gary Willis; two brothers, Carroll Curry and James Lucas; and a sister, Lessie Pickrel. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Nancy Curry of Elm Mott; sons, Michael Curry of Waco and Mike Willis and wife Dee of Bedford; daughter, Karen Aguilar of San Antonio; brothers, Weldon Curry and Jerry Curry and wife Martha; sister, Betty Ann Bell; 10 grandchildren; 6 great- grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Benji Norris, Stacey Driskell, Richard Busby, Steve Wade, Gary Straten and Mark Koenig. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Poole, Kenny Kunkel, Dudley Castilow, Hal Lee Woodall, Bill Leathers and Alex Norris. The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice for their excellent care during Carl's illness.
