Candice (Taylor) Paris, age 36, of Gholson, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Gholson Cemetery, with Pastor Lloyd Strickland officiating.
Candice Paris was born November 1, 1988, in Henderson, Texas, the daughter of Harold Hinson and Diedra (DeMita) Sinclair. She was a 2007 graduate of Hubbard High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science at Texas State Technical College. On April 1, 2023, Candice was united in marriage to Joseph Paris in Gholson. Together, they built a life of love and cherished memories. In her professional life, Candice worked as a welder in recent years. Outside of work, she had many passions. She enjoyed making her salsa, cooking, and baking homemade bread. Candice had a deep love for music and singing, and she found peace in nature-whether she was sitting around the fire, tending to her garden, or fishing. She loved serving her family, spending time with her husband Joe, and taking care of her children.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Paris of Gholson; her children, Victoria Parker and King Harold Ray Settle, all of Gholson; father, Harold Hinson II and wife Alysia of George West; father-in-law, Darren Paris and wife Danielle; mother-in-law, Nituna Diaz of Gholson; paternal grandmother, Sherrie Glover; brothers, Harold Hinson III and wife Sarah, Kenneth "Kenny" Hinson and wife Mariah, Jernon Hawley and wife Iveth, and Zachary Hinson and wife Cinthia; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Paris, Jake Sparks, Trey Hinson, Kenny Hinson, Jernon Hawley, and Zach Hinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a scholarship fund for her children.
