Callie Mcneill

Callie McNeill, age 89, of China Spring, formerly of Seguin, passed away late Wednesday evening, May 23, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Minister Rusty Kwast officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Callie was born January 16, 1929 in Huntington, the daughter of Horace and Mary (Jones) Sowell. She was a Real Estate Agent and a Property Manager for the Middletown Apartments in Seguin for 28 years before retiring in 2012. She was a member of the Seguin Church of Christ. Callie enjoyed shopping, tending to her flowers and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Callie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George McNeill; and a brother, James Sowell. Pallbearers are Kerry Jennings, Jordan Jennings, Christopher Searcy, Page Dillehunt, Rodney Sowell and Mike Sowell. Survivors include a daughter, Vickie (Long) Holmes; a sister, Karen Jennings; grandchildren, Cara Ready and Christopher Searcy and wife Lacey; great grandchildren, Brittney Ready and spouse Stacey, Chay Muzny, Carli Luce, Cash Luce, Cole Searcy and Seth Searcy; great great grandchildren, Kinzey, Taidum and baby Callie on the way; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
