Caitlyn Deanne Reed-Goates

Caitlyn DeAnne Reed-Goates, age 21, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 5, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Caitlyn was born May 24, 1992 in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Wimberley Jo Purdy and Ronnie K. Reed. She was a 2010 graduate of West High School and was currently taking nursing classes to do medical billing. Caitlyn was above all a Mother, and always considered that her highest achievement. She worked for Slovacek's in West. Prior to that she worked for Czech Stop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West. Caitlyn enjoyed arts & crafts, playing golf, classic cars, being outdoors and fishing. She especially loved being a Mother and spending time with her sons. Caitlyn always made others smile, even if she wasn't having a good day. She was well loved and will be greatly missed. Caitlyn is preceded in death by her grandfather, Jesse Reed and uncle, Terry Ray Reed. Survivors include her husband, Zach Goates of West; her sons, Daniel and Zane Goates of West; her mother, Wimberly Jo Greer and husband John of Kilgore; her father, Ronnie Reed and wife Lisa of West; step-mother, Paula Reed; grandmother, Shirley Reed; in-laws, Ernestine and Barry Goates; grandparents in-law, Josephine Miller and Danny Goates; brothers, Keith Reed and wife Leah and Jarrett Reed; sister, Emilie Smith and husband Jesse; uncle, Michael Reed and wife Kim; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Kevin Walters, J. D. Feltgen, Ron Meador, James Jordan, Doug Stockman, Rick Coleman and Cliff Garretson. Honorary pallbearers are the West Ambulance Association Volunteers.
