Bruce Huffhines

Bruce Huffhines, age 60, of Ross, passed away early Wednesday evening, June 17, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the West Church of Christ, with Minister Ernie Albrecht officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery near Chalk Bluff. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Bruce was born January 16, 1955 in Temple, the son of Donald R. and Eunice (Bulls) Huffhines. He attended schools in McGregor and was a 1974 graduate of West High School. On August 24, 1974 he was united in marriage to Paula Ann VanWinkle in Waco. Bruce was the owner and operator of All-Tex Cylinder Heads in Ross that specialized in repair and rebuilding of cylinder heads. He was a longtime and faithful member of the West Church of Christ where he served as an Elder. Bruce enjoyed farming and playing golf. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Peyton Huffhines; and a brother, Stephen Huffhines. Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Paula Huffhines of Ross; two sons, David Huffhines Jr. and wife Misty of Ross and Trent Huffhines and wife Amber of Aquilla; brothers, Mark Huffhines and wife Bridgett and Kenneth Huffhines and wife Sylvia; a sister, Donna Johnson; grandchildren, Makenzie, Ashton, Kyndall, Hannah, Abigail and JoJo; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Tommy Wolfe, Billy Ellis, Jimmy Jaska, Matt Huffhines, Craig Huffhines and Edwin Sulak. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Church of Christ.
