Brian R. Littleton, age 73, of Gholson, passed away Friday morning, March 9, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Jim Sansom and Rev. Bruce Carpenter officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Gholson Cemetery, conducted by West Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Littleton was born January 22, 1939 in Hearne. He graduated from Joshua High School in 1957 and then attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville. On July 24, 1963 he was united in marriage to Marilou Kilby in Miami, OK. He served his country with the United States Air Force as a recruiter and personnel technician for over 24 years until he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant in 1982. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, bird watching, looking for arrowheads and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved woodworking and made various crafts for many to enjoy including bird houses and walking sticks. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson and the American Legion Post No. 121 in Waco. Brian is preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Afton K. Walker and birth father and step mother, Claude and Mary Littleton. Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Marilou Littleton of Gholson; two daughters, Angela Guthrie and fianc, Reese Goates of Gholson and Kim Scott and husband Derek of Franklin; two brothers, Ret. Col. Lynn Walker and wife Vickie of Reno, NV and Gary Littleton and wife Cindy of San Antonio; a sister, Vickie Foster and husband Gary of Grand Prairie; five grandchildren, Brittany,Derek Jr.and Deven Scott and Zachary and Kyle Guthrie; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Reese Goates, Mitch Kilby, Darren Kilby, Tim Kilby, Derek Scott, Gary Foster and John Dickerson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson.
