Brad Davis

Brad Davis, age 32, of Leroy, passed away October 18, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Billington Cemetery near Axtell. The family will receive visitors from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Brad was born May 27, 1980 in Waco, the son of Roy E. and Connie Davis. He attended West schools and was a 1998 graduate of West High School. Brad received certification as an EMT and Paramedic from McLennan Community College. On December 4, 2004 he was united in marriage to Melanie Carlile in West. Brad worked as a paramedic supervisor for East Texas EMS, West EMS and North Bosque EMS. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, playing golf, playing 42, and bar-b-queing. Brad especially loved spending time with his kids. He was a member of First Baptist Church of West. Brad is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Zoebelle Baskin and brother-in-law, J.D. Carlile. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Davis of Leroy; children, Cole and Kenzie Davis; his parents, Roy and Connie Davis; maternal grandparents, Lewis and June Davis; a brother, Jonathon Davis and wife Molly; parents-in-law, John and Carylon Carlile; brother-in-law, John Carlile, Jr. and wife Ashley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are John Davis, Victor Hernandez, George Nors, Jr., Tom Marek, Bradley Matthys, Stephen Symank, Tim Kocian, and Travis Nice. Honorary pallbearers are his EMS family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a scholarship fund for his children or to the West EMS.
