Bonnie Jo Janek

Bonnie Jo Janek, age 85, of Hewitt, formerly of Elm Mott, passed away early Thursday evening, October 9, 2014 at Senior Care of Hewitt. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Minister Sam Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Bonnie was born June 26, 1929 in West, the daughter of Ben and Elizabeth "Betty" (Goldsmith) Sealey. She graduated from West High School in 1946. On June 25, 1946 Bonnie was united in marriage to Stanfield Garland Janek Sr. in West. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2000. She had worked as a bottle selector at Owens-Illinois in Waco for 17 years before retiring in 1972. Bonnie had also worked for Cotton Mill Restaurant and Old Corner Drug in West. She worked as a part-time rural mail carrier for the Elm Mott Post Office. Bonnie was a member of Elm Mott Church of Christ, and also a member of The Red Hat Ladies. Bonnie loved to read, dance, play bingo, karaoke, travel and socialize with all of her many friends. She especially loved to spend time with family. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, David L. Janek; and a sister, Patsy Jane Moser. Survivors include two sons, Stan Janek Jr. and wife Leslie of Apple Valley, CA, and Benny W. Janek and wife Cheryl of Penelope; 3 grandchildren, Kristen Chamblee and husband Roman, Stan Janek III and Lance Ondrej and wife Caroline; 5 great grandchildren, Micah, Ryder, Holden, Evan and Aiden; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Jimmy Janek, John Janek, Lynn Janek, Joe Herbelin, Ken Hykel and Lance Ondrej. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
