Bobbye June Ficke

Bobbye June Edmonds Ficke, age 76 of West, TX passed away early Saturday morning, January 6, 2018 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waco, TX. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, TX with Pastor Ronny Robinson officiating. Bobbye was born January 17, 1941 in Cameron, TX the daughter of Benjamin and Cora Mabry Edmonds. She was a 1959 graduate of C.H. Yoe High School in Cameron, TX and attended a business school in Austin, TX. Bobbye worked for Texas Parks and Wildlife Region 2 for over 34 years. She enjoyed reading and watching baseball and basketball. She especially loved playing with her grandchildren. Bobbye is preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Robert Mercer of Waco, TX. Survivors include her sons, Brian Ficke and wife Kara of West, TX and Brad Ficke and wife Jennifer of Midland, TX; a brother, Paul Edmonds and wife Nancy of Austin, TX; a sister, Joyce Edmonds Mercer of Waco, TX; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gibby, Luke, Madison, Layla, Macy and Christian; a niece, Jan Mercer Magid and husband Lance, and a great niece, Sophie of Waco, TX; and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
