Bobbie Wilson, age 93, of West, formerly of Odessa, passed away late Wednesday evening, September 22, 2021 at West Rest Haven in West. Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, with Wade Edwards officiating. Bobbie was born April 8, 1928 in San Angelo, the daughter of William and Lula (Rogers) Rutherford. She was a graduate of San Angelo High School. On May 24, 1944 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Jack King in Mertson. Jack preceded her in death on December 17, 1966. Then on September 15, 1974 she was united in marriage to Danny Wilson in Odessa. Danny preceded her in death on December 11, 2016. Bobbie was a member of the Crescent Park Baptist Church in Odessa where she served in many capacities, including teaching Sunday School and Leaders & Teachers singles group. She was also a member of Campers on Mission in Odessa, the Odessa Hospital Auxiliary, and the Odessa China Painting Club. Bobbie was the manager for the S&H Green Stamp Store in Odessa for over 30 years before retiring in 1984. She enjoyed painting china dishes and traveling. Bobbie is also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jack D. Warner; and a brother, Dell Rutherford. Survivors include her daughters, Darlene Warner and husband Don of Arlington, and Tonee Edwards and husband Jerry of Colleyville; a sister, Doris Young; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
