Bob Yates

Bob Yates, age 58, of West, passed away early Saturday morning, October 14, 2017 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Bob was born October 16, 1958 in Guam, the son of Robert and Vera (Seale) Yates. He attended school in Hearne. Bob worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years until his retirement in 2009. He loved hunting arrowheads, fishing and riding Harley bikes. Family time was the most important to him, especially with his children and grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Yates. Survivors include his sons, David Yates and wife Lucinda of Colorado Springs, CO and Harley Yates of West; daughter, Jennifer Yates and husband Junior Fornal of Gholson; stepson, Bubba Ivy; stepdaughter, Heather Ivy; brother, Rodney Boswell; sister, Patricia Cox; Harley's mother, Shanna Robins-Donnell; three grandchildren, Micah David Yates Jr., Koelby Leegh Yates and Shyann Curry Fornal; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
